The Youth Employment Success Solutions (YESS) program is a comprehensive approach to teaching young adults (ages 16-24) to improve and develop the required “soft” skills and knowledge to succeed in the workplace.

Training Module Overview
MODULE ONE -
CAREER
PLANNING
Participants will complete four activities to start building a professional profile, identifying and exploring career options that best suit them, obtaining the necessary skills to achieve their goals, and mapping their future career paths.
MODULE TWO -
PREPARING FOR EMPLOYMENT
Participants will complete six activities to help them develop an elevator speech, resume, strategize their job search, and learn how to conduct a successful interview.
MODULE THREE -
WORK
EXPECTATIONS
Participants will complete five exercises to present an excellent first impression and understand what is expected of them once hired, including applying ethics, diversity in the workplace, and customer service, as well as reviewing legal barriers to employment.
MODULE FOUR-COMMUNICATION
ETIQUETTE
Participants will complete five activities to help them communicate most effectively with their employer, coworkers, and customers in the workplace, whether in person, by phone, by email, or by other technology.
MODULE FIVE-
FINANCIAL
LITERACY
Participants will complete three activities to successfully manage money to sustain their basic needs while making money goals more attainable, set realistic budgeting goals, and build positive spending habits.
